Proven, not promised

Remember more than twice as much — out of the same book

Your textbook shows a word once, and a week later most of it is gone. Being asked for it is what makes it stay. That is the entire job of the app.

80 % vs 36 %

Double the recall, one week on. Learners quizzed on foreign vocabulary still had 80 % of it. The ones who only re-read the same list: 36 %. Same words, same time spent.

254 studies

Spacing beats cramming. Every time. 14 000 participants, 254 experiments, one verdict. And the longer you need to keep the word, the bigger your lead.

9 years

Learn it once. Keep it for a decade. Vocabulary drilled at growing intervals was still there nine years later — with no revision at all in between.

Questions

Before you start

Which edition is this?

Т. П. Задоенко, Хуан Шуин, «Основы китайского языка, вводный курс». Вводный курс · 2-е издание, 1993 · Наука. Lessons 1–20. Lesson 1 teaches sounds and strokes, so the book gives it no vocabulary and its list stays empty.

Are the translations the same as in my book?

Yes. The Russian meanings come from the lesson dictionary of the book itself. Where the app offered several meanings, we picked the one the lesson uses.

What about the other volumes?

If you study from «Начальный курс китайского языка», the later course by the same authors, the words largely match but the lesson numbering does not. That book has its own page.
